The Irish Folk Pub Dart Club was founded on October 28, 1979 in Munich.
He played in the Irish Folk Pub at Giselastraße 11 until the turn of the millennium and then moved to a larger facility on Fürstenriederstraße in order to accommodate the increasing number of members. Today it is probably the oldest dart club in Germany and can proudly look back on countless successes. Until 2002, Ede Martin ran the dart club exclusively as its first chairman. Even today, the “Old Irish” is one of the very few pubs in Munich where you can still play steel darts. Darts greats such as John Lowe, Phil Tayler and Leighton Rees have also played here.
Many German national players emerged from the IFP Club team. The IFP Dart Club was also significantly involved in the development of the Bavarian Dart Association and in the founding of the Upper Bavarian Dart Association.
